Join us for an evening of music making at Modesto Christian Center featuring Shawnette Sulker, a coloratura soprano last seen with Townsend Opera as the Queen of the Night in the January 2009 production of The Magic Flute, Shuntavia Reynolds, and the Modesto Christian Center chorus. The evening will include opera arias, jazz and spirituals, gospel chorus, and congregation sing-alongs as we explore how opera and gospel can come together in a casual setting. There is no charge for admission, and you will be able to socialize with the singers before the concert.
