Follow Count Almaviva on his complicated and hilarious quest to steal the love of the ravishing Rosina from the old and crusty Doctor Bartolo.  Laugh as he consorts with Figaro, the resourceful and mischievous town barber, as they try to connive their way into her home and then her heart in this riotous romantic comedy.

Libretto by Cesare Sterbini, based on a comedy by Pierre Beaumarchais first performed on February 20, 1816 at the Teatro Argentina in Rome, Italy.  American premiere on November 29, 1825 at the Park Theater in New York.  Holds the distinction of being the first Italian opera performed in America.
